Prior to setting up EDU CHANNEL, the CEO & Director Mr Sudhakaraiah Yeddula had worked for British Council in India for nearly 22 years and his last assignment was Head, Education UK, South India before opting for voluntary retirement in 2001. During his tenure as Head, Education UK for South India, he had played a key role in building the UK education brand and developing student recruitment market for UK universities. The Southern India region had emerged as one of the prime markets for UK universities and colleges contributing almost 55% of All-India student recruitment numbers. Mr Sudhakaraiah also played an advisory role for UK universities in providing Market Intelligence, organizing major Education UK exhibition events with a participation of 60-70 UK universities each year in South India (Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi) and identifying potential academic partnerships for UK universities.

After retirement from the British Council, Mr Sudhakaraiah had worked with Middlesex University, London, as Director, South India for a period of two years managing their student recruitment activities covering Southern India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. During his two year tenure with Middlesex University, he had recruited close to 400 students from South India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. Mr Sudhakaraiah has a sound understanding of Indian higher education sector with a good network of contacts on student recruitment opportunities and Partnership Development for overseas institutions.
