Ivana Peleš

I am a Marketing Manager who has worked in sales education and consulting for a culinary school in Croatia for 7 years. I am adept at understanding and demonstrating educational products establishing a strong rapport with the audience and introducing others to educational innovations. I am currently located in Toronto, Canada and my goal is to be a representative of Canadian Educational Institutions.

Experience

• Responsible for marketing, representation and communication activities in culinary school

• Recruit suitable domestic and foreign students and process student applications

• Provide counseling to students to ensure the most appropriate course selection, provide them information on education options, courses, and pathways

• Gather intelligence and analytics in our target region, identify market opportunities, and develop and execute regional business strategies and sales and marketing plans – both online and offline – to achieve high student recruitment outcomes.

• Creating a marketing plan, development, implementation and coordination of marketing activities in order to achieve sales goals

• Preparing newsletters and other direct mailings, writing articles for newspapers and magazines, other PR topics for digital and print publications

•  Handling web presence: maintaining web page and social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube...)., translating and adapting materials

• Organization and coordination of fair exhibitions; coordination and managing of donations, advertising partnerships and sponsorships

• Media planning and buying; preparing ads for newspapers and radio and collecting press cuts

• Organizing promotional activities such as dinner for investors and suppliers as well as workshops for the general public and the media in order to promote Culinary Institute

• Travelling (international and domestic) on official tours for conferences & education fairs

I’ve developed and demonstrated excellent teamwork skills in a busy environment, such as an ability to listen to clients and managers, perform my role to a high level and support colleagues. This build up my ability to plan ahead and manage time effectively. I believe that I'm an ambitious and flexible person. I like to be surrounded by people and enjoy working in a team, but I'm also capable and effective individual. I’m project-oriented and a fast learner so I can quickly think my way around in new and unfamiliar situations.
