Our History

Ali Akbar & Company was established in 1983 in Kurunegala, the capital city of North Western Province of Sri Lanka. We have celebrated our 35th anniversary and are now looking forward to continuing our history of providing high quality and professional advice for parents and their children who would like to study abroad.

Our Founders

Mr. Ali Akbar had the first-hand experience of the difficulties and the challenges encountered by students choosing to continue their education in a local. Those experiences becomes their incentive to establish Ali Akbar & Company in the hope of assisting and supporting International Education for  students in adapting to life and study in a different culture.

Our Development

From a single office in paragahadeniya in a country town in 1983, we started our company as an Accounting firm and today we are having another division as International Education and Visa Consulting. Ali Akbar & Company has grown and expanded. As well as our Head Office in Kurunegala City and Another branch in Kurunegala,

Our Slogan

"Trust & Excellency" is our slogan. It appropriately reflects our attitude and approach when providing services for students, their parents and our education partners.

Our Mission

Being a bridge across cultures and support for academic pursuit of the younger generation is our mission. Our experienced education counselors are ready to advise students on courses and career opportunities according to their educational background, interests, aptitude, and aspirations. Have a broad network with education providers; we are able to suggest a wide range of study options and programs to meet the students' needs.Akbar & Company is an all round service provider. Our care and concern continue though the students have left their home country. Our Kurunegala,Sri Lanka office can offer first-hand assistance to students studying in institutions, including airport pickup services, helping arrange home-stays and even opening bank accounts. We also stay in regular contact with our students and liaise with schools and parents in monitoring students' progress.For students choosing to study in any part of the world, we ensure that we only work with education providers that can offer a high standard of academic achievement and student support, and we would maintain regular contact with our students.
