Profile:
The Study Abroad Foundation (SAF) is a department of IES Abroad, a US-based not-for-profit organization 501(c)(3) (registered in the State of Illinois). SAF works with visiting non-degree university students attending a SAF member institution in China, Japan and S. Korea to study abroad for a semester, AY or summer. SAF students enroll in regularly offered academic classes of their host university or in a university-managed intensive English language program. SAF students intend to transfer credit earned studying abroad toward degree-completion requirements of their home university. SAF was established in 2000 and IES Abroad in 1950.
